An Excursion to Seattle

The Space Needle from a different perspective
The Space Needle from a tourist's perspective
Tracy, the tourist
Here we are standing in the eye of the Needle, with the Puget Sound in the background.
This is the Needle's eye view of the city of Seattle.
And this is the view facing our family and friends back in Illinois! We really miss you all out there...
After the Space Needle, we went to the Market to see what all the excitement was about. And the word that came to mind first was 'colorful!' Fresh produce, myriad flowers, diverse people...it was all very vibrant and exciting, indeed. The Market has become Tracy's favorite part of the city. Here she is, waving to all those family and friends out in Illinois.
Here you can see some of the color of Pike Place. If you ever come to visit, we would love an excuse for going to the Market again!
And here is Scott at the Market. He was especially excited about the bakery section...
...where we bought this creation. You can't go to the Pike Place Market and return home empty-handed. This is a yummy chocolate fudge cake with mint icing, and a cherry on top.
