Thanksgiving 2005
Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple...how engrossingly cute, or maybe just gross.
We were very grateful to have Tracy's mom and grandma visit for Thanksgiving (and wisdom teeth surgery). Here Grandma and Tracy prepare the turkey together.
Thanksgiving, raw and unadulterated
Okay, Mom...that's enough pictures of preparing the turkey!
Just one more...
The finished bird, aromatic, juicy, and very tasty. Complements to the chefs.
"For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." 1 Timothy 4:4-5
We eagerly anticipate our portion of the feast.
"I thank my God every time I remember you." Philippians 1:3
We love to take family and friends to the wineries in Woodinville. This picture was taken at the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery.
Yeah, right.
Our paths crossed with a peacock at the winery. Mom stares in wonder.
Sadly, it never did open it's tail.
But it was brilliant nonetheless.
Next tourist activity...the Market!
Tracy, Mom, and Grandma stand in front of the famous Pike Place fish, sometimes known to fly.
A Market sunset
Mom and Tracy went for a walk on a trail near our house. The trail is very undulating, and when the weather is right, one can see the Cascade Mountains to the east and the Olympic Mountains to the west. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see them.
But Mom did discover a tree swing!
Tracy had fun with the swing.
But getting wisdom teeth pulled is not fun. Tracy purposefully scheduled her surgery for after Thanksgiving.
This is the stuff life is made of...Scott cares for his recuperating wife.
The same day as the surgery, we made a stop at the Columbia Winery, for Christmas shopping (not for anasaesthetic, I promise)!
Tracy smiles awkwardly.
A gift from Grandma
Recovering allows Tracy the time to make Christmas stockings.
One last time on the trail. The mountains were faintly visible this time.
Mom and Grandma...we were so glad you could come visit us!
