Christmas 2005

For our first Christmas as a married couple, we decided to get a real tree. We went all out, and got a 7 foot tree which, unfortunately, did not fit into this Christmas tree stand. Oops...lesson learned.
This year's tree and last year's...that's quite an upgrade.
Scott's height has many advantages, like being able to reach all the kitchen cabinets, changing lightbulbs without a ladder, and decorating the top of the Christmas tree.
Winnie the Pooh (also known as 'Windy the Pooh' by a certain five year old girl) joins in the festivities.
Speaking of five year olds - oh wait, that's Scott, playing with legos. Tracy had Scott's mom mail his childhood legos to Washington so she could wrap them up and give them to him for Christmas.
And he was entertained for hours.
And hours.
Scott's dad, Ray, and Linda came to visit us for Christmas this year, and we were delighted. Here they are with Scott, catching up on life.
Dad and Linda display the plates that we had bought in Illinois many moons ago, only for them to bring when they came to visit.
We love cooking, and eating...hence all our pictures of food and celebrations involving food!
The dinner line
Family, food, wine, and love...simple, boundless blessings of life
Dad and Linda treated us to a ride on the Spirit of Washington dinner train, which makes a stop at Columbia Winery in Woodinville. We got to see all sorts of Christmas lights and other decorations along the way. Thanks Dad and Linda!
