Our 1st Anniversary
For our first anniversary, we went to Whistler, Canada for the weekend to celebrate. We passed some extraodinary scenery on the drive up, so we stopped to take a picture.
Crossing the border into Canada
They didn't even ask for our proofs of identification! Although getting back into the U.S. was more stringent.
We went horseback riding at Whistler, just like we did on our honeymoon. Unlike our honeymoon, however, we were with a group of Japanese tourists who didn't speak any English. It made for an interesting ride.
We don't quite remember the names of our horses, but we do remember the nickname for Scott's horse: Doofus.
Did we mention that Whistler is going to be the location for the 2010 Olympics? That means construction, and lots of it. This was the view from our room, the future Whistler Village library.
And here's the old library, or is it a library museum?
One of the highlights of our trip was eating breakfast at this restaurant, Crepe Montagne. In fact, our souvenier for the trip was a stuffed animal moose that we named 'Monty' after this restaurant.
