Winter Storm 2006
On the night of December 14, 2006, western Washington was hit with a huge wind storm, which was later declared as a state of emergency. Our home was without power for eight days.

In an emergency, it's always better to be in the company of good friends. We hung out at Microsoft with Jeff and Katy, where we played games.
Carcassone was among the many games we played that day.
We did some driving around to see the damage done in our neighborhood. Here is a small mudslide about a mile away from our house.
And here are some fallen trees and power lines. This was a familiar sight on the roads around our neighborhood.
No one wanted to be without power over Christmas, including these neighbors.
