Camping at Wallace Falls
In late April--when the weather was still cold--we went camping with our friends Andrew and Heather at Wallace Falls State Park. We barely fit everything in the car, but were determined not to take two cars so as not to pay for the extra gas.
We stayed in a cozy cabin, complete with electricity and heat.
It also happened to be the only "pet friendly" cabin in the campground. A slight oversight, as we had two people with pet allergies.

Fire-breathing Andrew
We took a trip to check out Wenatchee State Park. It was cold and empty, but very picturesque.
We packed a picnic, and ate lunch at Wenatchee State Park.
Back at the campsite, we had the classic campfire dinner: hot dogs. We also heated up chili to make chili dogs.
In the early evening, we played Bocce Ball.

Andrew and Tracy roasting banana boats: bananas filled with marshmallow, chocolate, and peanut butter. Heather contributed this recipe from her girl scout days. It's way better than s'mores!

We played a loooooong and excruciating game of Caylus. Scott loved it.
In the morning, we hiked up to Wallace Falls, which consists of a lower, middle, and upper falls.
The lower and middle falls
The middle falls were the most spectacular of the three.

We found Scott's name carved into the wood rail.
If you look closely, you can see the hiker symbol on Tracy's hat.
